Siam Park with kids under 8: an honest review
The world's favourite water park - but is it worth it with small children?
The short answer
Yes, with planning. The big slides are for teens and adults, but The Lost City (a huge water playground) and Sawasdee (the kids' zone) can fill a whole day for under-8s, and the lazy river is gentle enough with a parent alongside.
What parents should know
- Buy tickets online first - cheaper, and you walk straight in past the ticket queue.
- Go at opening (10am) - the kids' areas are quietest in the first two hours.
- The wave pool is serious. Great fun, but hold little hands; the waves are big on the hour.
- Lockers and towels cost extra. Bring your own towels and travel light.
- Food inside is theme-park priced. There are picnic areas if you bring your own.
Under-3s go free. Measure the kids at home first - several family slides have a 1.10m minimum.
